General Information

The world’s largest contiguous mangrove forest hosts an amazing faunal & floral diversity, including the probably largest remaining population of Royal Bengal tigers, the endangered estuarine crocodile, Ganges River dolphins as well as an astounding variety of birds. Join our Adventure Cruise and explore this intricate maze of tidal waterways, a natural treasure of Bangladesh.

Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Dhaka- Chadpur- Barisal (on board)

Meet with our guide at one predesigned place and get board at bus for heading towards to the Jetty. Arrival at jetty and embark at the ship around 10:00hrs. The ship will cruise toward Sundarbans. En-route stop-off by at Chandpur, Barisal. Arrive at Sharnakhola range in Sundarban and overnight at the vessel.

Day 02: Sharankhola – Kotka (on board)

Reach Saronkhola Reserve at midday. Process papers at Forest office and take on two armed forest guards. Explore Saronkhola reserve area. On completion of paper works including payment of Forest fees, sail to Katka. Reach Katka at 4.00 PM Explore Katka (office site). Canal visit with small boat (8.30 PM). Time to explore Kotka wild life of Sundarbans. Don not miss out capturing spotted deer (Chital Horin), different species of macaque Monkeys and mongoose, wild boar, endanger reptiles and Indian python, and explore as many species of birds out 260. Stay overnight at Katka. 

Day 03: Katka – Jamtola Sea beach – Kochikhalil- Damar char – Dhaka

Explore Jamtola beach At 7.00AM to 10.00AM. At 10.30AM sail from Katha to Kachikhali. Reach Kachikhali at 12.30PM and then explore office site and Damar Char till 4pm/5pm Dramatic excitement begins when you switch over to ‘country-boat’ rowing along picturesque view of thickness Mangrove forest in Kachikhali with absolute silence prevails-discover pugmarks of ‘Royal Bengal Tiger’ various species of Kingfisher and home of crocodile. Later on move forward to Dimer Char. Dimer Char is a tidal flat(s) located in Sundarban.and then turn back towards Dhaka.

Day 04: Dhaka

we reach dhaka disembark at Balur ghat at 8 pm after dinner depending on tide and forge. After dinner go back police plaza by Bus.

 

 The package prices are inclusive of : 

  • Cruising route: Dhaka - Sundarban – Dhaka 
  • Two armed guards will be on board for the entire trip. Two forest guards will mandatorily board the ship at the forest entry point. No one else is allowed to carry guns inside the Sundarban as per Government orders. 
  • All meals during cruise. 
  • Unlimited tea/coffee and local biscuits will be available throughout the cruise. 
  • Soft drinks (Coke/7Up) one per guest will be served only during lunch and dinner. 
  • Cruising inside the deep forest with vessel.

Notes :

  • Bizcon Holidays will try to anticipate every possible issue to ensure your smooth trip.
  • The time coverage will depends on tide & fog.
  • We will visit alternate place subject to the off day of any places.
  • The tour will be flexible and the coordinator can rearrange the tour considering the situation.
  • Despite the best of intentions, however, force majeure can intervene, and glitches can and do occasionally occur – after all, you are traveling in Bangladesh with the challenge of traffic & infrastructural issues.
  • The small boats are best for the Sundarban cruise. We organize a private basis tour with the accommodation of 6-10 people with a reserved boat. The room size is quite smaller, no running hot water, electricity is supplied by the battery, and the small generator to charge up the electrical devices. But it’s comfortable to spend days with the facilities.
  • No phone signal works inside the deeper forest. But at some point, you will get a phone signal to call the emergency. If you use Bangladeshi Teletalk SIM, we’ll get better coverage in a remote area like Kotka.
  • Make yourself silent for the boat trip or walking into the forest. The best way to explore Sundarban is to keep silence and look.
  • Child rate applies only when sharing with 2 paying adults.
  • This Package price is not applicable in Blackout Period (Long holiday, Eid, New Year etc.).

Booking procedure  :

For exclusive booking please confirm tour at least 1 month before schedule. While making confirm booking of the tour a payment amounting to 50% of the tour fee is to be made. The balance to be paid 10 days before the commencement of the trip.

Cancellation/ amendment policy :

If you cancel the tour before 30 days from the tour date you will be charged 50% .
If you cancel the tour before 20 days from the tour date you will be charged 75%. 
If you cancel the tour before 10 days from the tour will be charged 100%. No-Show will be charged 100%. 

Force measure policy : If any cancellation occurs for any force measure issues, 30% of the total fare will be applicable and the rest 70% amount will be reusable for the same sector within the 3 months’ time limit from the day of incidents. The cancellation and refund policy wouldn’t be applicable for any natural disaster, emergency & political situation.

DO’S WHILE ON CRUISER :

  • Don’t drop anything in the water or in the jungle use the “Bin” on the Boat.
  • Smoking and any kind of fire are strictly prohibited in cabin.
  • Be economic in use of any kind of water & electricity.
  • Have your meals in time for smooth management.
  • Keep a watch to your children.
  • Take care of your valuables.
  • Authority will not be liable any accident, theft, loss or damages.
  • For changing date or canceling the booking, must be informed the issuing Authority.
  • You have to care your luggage.
  • Littering is strictly prohibited in the river, shore and tourist spots.
  • Making noise, annoying animal, injury plantation is not allowed.
  • If necessary, the Authority can change the Seat/Cabin.
  • You should obey Forest Rules.

DO’S WHILE IN THE JUNGLE :

  • While inside the jungle; never be alone; Be in a group all time.
  • No harm to any plants in the forest & do not disturb the wild animals.
  • For any problem always talk to your guide only.
  • Avoid the striking color in the jungle, use jungle-friendly dress.
  • Don’t use perfume inside the jungle, as it imitates the Wildlife.
  • Sundarban is a reserved forest and without any habitation by human. For any unpredicted circumstances keep cool and cooperate with the guide to control the situation.
